Farm Stand
Now that I have a break from hay, I was able to check out the raised bed. What a bounty! We have beautiful lettuce available at the farm market, radishes, and garlic scapes. For those of you who don't know, garlic scapes, or garlic curls, are the stalk that shoots up from the center and eventually produces a flower. Many garlic producers cut it to help push more energy into the bulb itself. So what do you do with it? Use it like garlic. It is a bit more mild but very flavorful. Our youngest son loves to puree the scapes with olive oil and make a spread for toast!
